I have been asked to push Lync 2013 at the same time removing Lync 2010.  Does anyone know of a guide on how to do this or have done it before?  My biggest problem is finding information on how to uninstall 2010.

Ive uninstalled lync 2010 with SCCM. I had to do a few steps but i was able to get it working.

The way i did it was to crate a new package called lync uninstall. In this package there are 3 programs.

1. Terminate Communicator
2. Terminate Oulook
3. Uninstall lync.

I advertised the program number 3 but set a requirement to run program 2 first. Program 2 has a requirement to run program 1 first. This way you terminate communicator, terminate oulook (since lync ties into it), and once both of those are closed then you can uninstall the program.

The commands for each program are below.

1. Terminate communicator
taskkill /im communicator.exe /F

2. Terminate outlook
taskkill /im outlook.exe /F

3. Uninstall lync
WMIC product where name="Microsoft Lync 2010" call uninstall

Obviously you will probably want to do this off hours since it will terminate programs people may be using. I used this to remove about 150 clients of lync and it worked great.
