Micrelec ESD inf printer installation in windows 7

Hi Experts,

I need to install micrelec ESD printer using an inf file. It used to work well with windows XP but not on windows 7.

Is there a away i can install this printer or i need to get another inf file for windows 7.

The inf file is just a part of the driver, and the one you have is for Win XP. You need to see if the manufacturer provides one for Win 7 (and depending on your OS, make sure you get the correct architecture -- 32 vs 64 bit)

Do you have the driver setup file for windows xp.

If yes then right click on the setup file- properties- select compatibility mode- select xp from the list- click ok.

Now install the driver ...reboot and check.

The others did not help as expected. When i got back to the supplier of the product. he suggested that there is a new software that runs on Windows 7 and what i had could not.

This resolved my issue.
