Say,

We commonly use Google docs and we believe one can embed a Google doc spreadsheet on their own website for its users/clients to have access to their details. We have our own company domain however we want to make this service of making Google docs available on our website for our users/clients to access. How can we achieve this? Is it possible?

Once all of this is done - how does one reverse the process & unpublish the document online of from the net.

You might be able to write a PHP client-authentication program.  You could hide the Google docs link behind the password protected page.  Not sure if that's enough protection for you, but if you trust your community not to expose the document beyond a need-to-know it might be OK.
