Hi

Where can I find the exact difference between them?
How do I know if I have installed any of them on our AIX 6.1?

Thanks.

Hi again,

the major add-ons of the EE are

- NDMP for NAS
- Disaster Recovery Manager
- Library support for > 4 drives and/or > 48 slots.

That's all. Here is a one-page overview:
http://www.qassociates.co.uk/Downloads/Tivoli-Storage-Manager-Compare-Editions.pdf

Check your license in the "dsmadmc" CLI with

Q LIC

and look for

...
Is Tivoli Storage Manager Extended Edition in use:     Yes
Is Tivoli Storage Manager Extended Edition licensed: Yes

...

The client does not distinguish between editions.

Kind regards

great wmp..

it seems we have not enabled EE

Is Tivoli Storage Manager Extended Edition in use: No
Is Tivoli Storage Manager Extended Edition licensed: Yes

Any idea on how to enable EE in our case? Don't know if it can be done.

Thanks once again.. (Prepare, have to migrate TSM and a lot of questions are comming ;)

You don't need to enable anything. You have the license, but you don't use it yet.

Once you configured the first library > 4 drives, or configured/ran an NDMP/NAS backup or configured DRM "No" will turn to "Yes" automatically.

Looking forward to your TSM questions (really!)

¡Cordiales saludos!
