Hardware Monitoring for HP ML350 G6

Hi

I have 2 HP ML350 G6 Servers - one with SBS2011 Prem and the other is the Premium addon part running Windows 2008 R2

How on earth do I configure email alerts for failed hard drives etc????

I have read something about HP Insight Event Notifier but I cant find the relevant download. I DO already have a service installed called HP Smart Array Event Notifer but I cant see how to configure it.

I have checked HP System Management and this has nowhere to enter mail settings.

It's a long time I used to work with Compaq (now HP) servers. To get monitoring and alerting running we setup a monitoring PC specific for that task and installed Compaq's SIM (System Information Manager) on that PC. On the servers we installed the Agents for SIM for the different hardware in the server.

With the SIM PC we then had all the relevant info at a central location, and we were able to configure it to send email messages when certain thresholds were reached. I believe HP has taken over SIM, check the Link below:
