upload pdf doc to sharepoint

Hi Experts

i am trying to upload a pdf document to sharepoint 2003 and add the link to the Lists library in the quick launch menu....

but i am unable to do so..how could you do this??

Do you have an issue with adding the link OR with uploading the PDF?
Could you also verify if it is really Sharepoint Server 2003?

Hi Rainerj

i have uploaded the file to site templates and when i try and add it the list libray  i cannot do that - as i cannot see it in the create tacking location and also i do not have designer access, just full site access..
