Thin Client Total Cost of Ownership

Hello Experts,

Can anyone provide good or bad case studies and proof that thin client is a lower cost of ownership?

I am trying to demonstrate to a customer that it does end up costing them less.

Thanks

our environment is 90% TC and this has saved us lots of money. Cheaper cost of unit over PC. Centralised administration. Less support calls, as users are limited to what they can do in terms of adding software and such

Hardware costs are about equal
Software costs are the same (can be lower with metering software)
Administration / Support  dramatically lower.

The initial cost and setup is more than the traditional method but over time (hence the Total Cost of Ownership) because or reduced downtime / help desk / administrative costs over time the price drops dramatically.

From all the readying I have done the hardware/software cost are not significantly different.  The true cost savings comes from IT labor to maintain.
