We have a new Windows 8 PC that included OneNote MX.

Is there a way to change the dictionary so we can use the spell checker for Spanish language?

Just finished trying your link and applying to our PC (Settings >> General >> Language Preferences) and chose Spanish and is now downloading.

Will inform if worked.

Question, are these steps for the entire Windows 8 or OneNote?

Didn't work.  It just changed the entire Windows 8 to Spanish; OneNote MX still holds English spell-checker.

Switch between different languages by setting the proofing language

We did download the language exactly as the first link indicated.

As for the second link, is referring OneNote Outlook, not OneNote MX

So still can't use the language installed in OneNote MX.

Ok, we think we found it: it's in Hotmail live id account, 'Personal info' then 'Country/Region'.  It was USA.  Changed it to any Spanish speaking country and didn't work (tried various countries).

Please advice how to set our windows live id must be set as Spanish.

Just re-read your entry in ID: 39248741, our problem is not Outlook XM, is OneNote MX.

We have changes the language in Windows 8 and also change the language in the hotmail account; still doesnt work.

How can we configure OneNote MX to spell-check in spanish?

Found a solution for OneNote MX can be worked with various languages:

1. For this, you must have OneNote MX in a iPhone (or android)
2. Install OneNote on the mobile
3. Open your notebook and create an entry with your language
4. Go back on OneNote MX in your computer

Now when editing the contents in your computer, the appropriate language is available.

This is the most closely possible for the solution.  With this, now we can change the spell checker dictionary in OneNote MX that come with Windows 8.

IF any EE can find a way to change the language within the computer, please post it.
