convert .html to .pdf files

I have about 40,000 files that are in .html format and I need to convert them to .pdf. Any suggestions or any programs that will help me accomplish this?

I use several A-PDF products:
http://www.a-pdf.com/

One of their products is A-PDF HTML to PDF:
http://www.a-pdf.com/html-to-pdf/

I haven't used this particular one, but based on my success with their other products, I wouldn't hesitate to give it a try...and there's a free trial version, so you can see if it works for you.

It does have a GUI interface, but with 40,000 files to convert, you probably want to look at its command line capability and/or its watched folder feature. Regards, Joe

I tested HTML2PDFPILOT and it's perfect for what I need to do. It is a trial version but I will be investing in full version. I am not testing A-PDF. Thanks a bunch for your help. EE is a great community. Thank you once again

You're welcome! Good luck on the project...40,000 files is a big challenge! If you don't mind taking the time, please post back here with your experiences/results. This will be very helpful to other members of the EE community. Thanks, Joe

One other thing: when you get the full version of HTML2PDF Pilot, please let us know if it has a Watched Folder feature. I can see at the link that @tailoreddigital provided that it has both GUI and command line interfaces, but it doesn't mention watched folders, and I'm curious about that. Thanks much, Joe

I am now testing A-PDF**
I will post back my results. I am not too familiar in this area; what is a 'Watched Folder'?
Thanks, Chirag

A program may allow you to specify a folder (or multiple folders) to monitor/watch for input to whatever process it performs. Let's use your case as an example...a program converts files from HTML to PDF. If it has a Watched Folder feature, it allows you to specify a folder that it will monitor (Watch) and whenever an HTML file "lands" in there, it will convert it to PDF. Some programs with a Watched Folder feature will allow you to specify a different folder for the output of its processing. For example, I use a scanning/imaging program where I specify a Watched Folder that receives an image-only TIFF file from a document scanner and then runs OCR when it appears in the Watched Folder to convert the TIFF to a PDF Searchable Image file. A watch folder is a functionality that software will watch a folder for files and automatically do processing when something shows up.
