Shortcode button creation

I've bought this theme from Avada. It has what they call shortcodes which basically generate code that you can then enter in pages. One of the shortcodes is a button creator. Here is the code it spits out.

[button color="e.g. green, darkgreen, orange, blue, red, pink, darkgray, lightgray or leave blank" size="large or small" link="" target=""]Text here[/button]

It successfully creates the button but no Matter where I put the web address I want to go to, It always returns to the page with the button on it.

Could someone fill out this code with some sample data so I can see it working.
Thanks.

Thanks DrD, That worked perfectly.

Another quick one. My website is in Wordpress and I have a bunch of PDFs that I'd like to host there. The thing is, if I load them via media manager and then link to them, they show up with the following address:

www.abc.co/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/QA450-Working-Transport-Dimensions.pdf

I find this rather messy looking and even unprofessional. Can you think of a solution that might allow me to have all the pdf's hosted in the following way:

www.abc.com/pdf/sample.pdf

Thanks again D.
