introduction to programming concepts book

Hi,

Can anyone let me know of a good book for an absolute beginner to start learning and understanding programming concepts in general. For instance, starting to learn about stuff like arrays, classes etc - that sort of thing. An "Introduction to Programming Concepts" type of book.

Thank you

I might suggest the video tutorials right here on EE. For example, the C# series (for which you can download one of the Express editions (i.e. free) of Visual Studio to experiment with) covers many of the topics you have mentioned.

have a look at the free C# Yellow book from http://www.csharpcourse.com/.

It has been written by a teacher
