Sharepoint User Folders

We need  to upload user folders to the team site in Sharepoint 2013.
What i need to do is- only have each user to be able to access their folder only.
The first step I heard is  to  create a group first-How do i do that in this version?
Then I think I add users to that folder?

With SharePoint 2013, each user gets his own 'skydrive' folder, which you can use to store any private documents, and if needed to share with others in the company. I think this is the best solution in this case. Just have the user login to the Portal and press on SkyDrive on top, then he can upload his documents and share them.

Alternatively, you can use normal sites and adjust the permissions for them, but it will be more time consuming. You will probably want to break the inheritance as well. You can also use Audiences, but again, way more complicated then simply using the personal site.
