easybcd error

I was running server 2008 hyper-v and wanted to boot directly to a vm.  I made a copy of the vm on a different disk, then downloaded easybcd.  I added the entry and saw an error when I rebooted and was only given one option, my old base machine.  I went into easybcd (2.2) and went to bcd backup\repair, clicked reset cbd configuration and it deleted my base entry as well.  How do I get it back?  If I try to exit, it says there is no entry and I won't be able to boot to anything.  I just want to first get back to being able to boot to my old 2008.

when I enter my boot menu, I get four USB options.

USB-FDD (doesn't use USB, just skipps to OS)
USB-ZIP (shows green logo, hangs)
USB-CDROM (doesn't use USB, just skipps to OS)
USB-HDD (shows green logo, hangs)

If I choose FDD, or CDROM, the OS loads normally as if the USB was not found.  If I chose HDD or ZIP, I can see a green logo, like a slanted window pane and the computer hangs.
