VB.net Referencing different versions of libraries

Hi

What is the difference between following two libraries:

Microsoft ADO Ext 2.5 for DDL and Security
Microsoft ADO Ext 6.0 for DDL and Security

Version 6 is for vista and higher and version 2.x are for XP, it appears.
