We are adding windows 8 tablets to our network, we have our GPO setup on a Windows 2008 R2 domain controlller.  How to add gpo admx files for windows 8 to server 2008 R2 so we can use the new GPO for windows8 to controll these windows8 systems?

You should use RSAT on 8 win8 workstation to connect to your 2008 R2 DC. That way, all GPOs will be accessible wihout any further action.

The 1st link is where I found the answer I needed, don't forget to copy the amdl files to the en-US directory, too!
"This will copy all of the new templates from your Windows 8 machine to the temp location. Now logon to your Domain Controller and browse to c:\windows\ and rename PolicyDefinitions to PolicyDefinition.orig. Now you need to copy the PolicyDefinitions folder you just created in c:\temp\admx to your domain controller in c:\windows\. Open up group policy editor and enjoy your new upgraded templates."

Thanks for your help!
