outlook 2007 search in 2008 TS Enviroment

I have a couple of users that are telling me that when they search for something on outlook 2007 in remote desktop in the inbox, nothing comes up, it just stays on searching.

Is this connected to the Non caching of the mail with 2007 in TS environment?

I can upgrade to 2010 to allow the caching   but is it really that issue?

You should not allow caching ever on a TS/Citrix environment.

Here's why:
The profiles will grow with the OST files, and with any kind of roaming, this will cause long logins & logouts (I saw someone do this once with a multi-gig mailbox and they wondered why they took literally 20 minutes to log in or out.
The indexing of the OST files will dramatically hurt performance for all users on the server

As to the search results, the way this works in the TS environment without caching is the searching is done directly online with the server.  The downside to this is that you are very dependent on the number of items in your folder that you are searching for.   So, if you have 1000's of items in your folder that you are searching, then your search results will take a fair amount of time to complete.
