My client had a hard drive fail. &nbsp;The computer vendor sent a new hard drive and we did a fresh install of Windows 7 and Windows Live Mail. &nbsp;We sent the drive off for data recovery. &nbsp;All the files were recovered and we are now trying to get the contacts out of the recovered &nbsp;contacts.edb file and imported to Windows Live Mail 2012.<br />

There is a hidden backup folder with files in it, and it would seem there would be a method to restore the data from a backup. &nbsp;<br />

Any direction on how to get the data would be extremely helpful. &nbsp;<br />

How to restore Windows Live Mail 2012 Contacts

Windows Live Mail is the successor to Outlook Express, a discontinued email and news client bundled with several versions of Microsoft Windows, from Windows 98 to Windows Server 2003, and available for Windows 95 and Mac OS 9. In Windows Vista, Outlook Express was superseded by Windows Mail, then again by Windows Live Mail as separate software. Outlook Express is a different application from Microsoft Outlook. Beginning with Windows Vista Microsoft included Windows Mail, based on large parts of Outlook Express source code.
