Visual Studio 2008 to work with SQL Server 2012

Maybe they're not meant to be together, but I wanted to see if anyone's had success using Visual Studio 2008 (particular in ASP.NET)  and SQL Server 2012 together?

I get this error when I try to make a connection.  I'm using VS 2008, SP1.

Download MS Visual Studio 2008 Service pack 1 using following link and install it

Thx, but I couldn't get it.  Just ended up upgrading the version of VS.
