How to control which users or which devices have the ability to sync a SharePoint document library using SkyDrive Pro

Hi,

We have an existing SharePoint 2013 Document Library stored with Office 365 and we need this to be available to be synchronized offline using SkyDrive Pro for some users or some devices but need to restrict access to some users or home computers.

The only solution I can see at present is the ability to prevent the entire Document Library from being synchronized offline using the Offline Client Availability setting under Site Settings.

Is there anyway that you can prevent the ability to sync a document library based on user, device or document tag?

Kind Regards,

Matthew

You realize the user will still be able to download the individual files or simply use the "Open with Explorer" button and drag drop the entire library? The only way I see that working is by limiting the permissions, perhaps even creating some workflow to switch them off in OOO hours.
