Lotus Notes Traveler : User Deletion/Clearing Device Records.
Hi there
Recently we have come across an issue on our Lotus Notes Traveler Server:
System Information:
Lotus Notes Traveler Version : 8.5.2.4 Build 201112131331
Domino server Release 8.5.2FP4 HF60/March 21, 2012 on Windows/32 platform
Problem Description :
User records has been cleared from Domino Primary Server including mailbox & user id
But the users records are still showing up on Lotus Notes traveler ( which were cleared previously by using the Delete command for user & devices using device id before deletion on Primary Domino Server), Since the user profile was active on the Device side (iPhone) but not connected to the internet at that time, the profile on the users device attempted to contact the server once internet was available, which resulted in the Device re appearing on the list of devices with the user details after user deletion from primary domino server.
Resolution tried but failed:
Reference: DominoWiki
>> tell traveler delete * "CN=John Doe/O=IBM"
I receive an error since user doesn't exist anymore on our systems.
Is there a way to clear these records, after the user has been removed from Primary Domino Server?
Any more information required from my side, I will provide it, a solution to this problem would be highly appreciated!
Thanks in Advance!

Hi there
I just need some more clarifications about this case
>>> User records has been cleared from Domino Primary Server including mailbox & user id
But the users records are still showing up on Lotus Notes traveler<<< This means this users " person document and mailbox were deleted on the primary server Ok My question now is ....... Did you try to replicate from the primary server to the traveler server ( File> Replication ) ???
Do you have any server access list for the traveler ?? e.g a list in the "groups" at the Lotus Traveler server were you add users who can have an access to the Lotus traveler ...
Best Regards

No none of the above have been tried of what you asked.
Neither have we created groups on the traveler server document side
We provide Traveler access onto the users mailbox using ACL in the primary domino server, by adding Traveler into the Access Control List of the User.

This fixed our problem, since the user records and id files were cleared from Domino.
