We have found an odd issue in Windows 8

It appears that once you make a folder available offline, you can no longer search these folders.  A search for a know file will show as no results found.

Does not matter what version of Windows Server the share is on.

This is an issue since we use redirected folders, people are not able to search for files in their Documents folder, which is automatically made available in the redirection process.

Seems to only be an issue on Windows 8.  All the settings in Indexing options seem to be the same.

I suppose, this is not intended by microsoft. If that behavior can be found on another fresh win8, you may call it a bug and should get in touch with MS support.

Still unable to discover why it effected all of our Windows 8 machines at the same time, however doing a rebuild on the index did get us up and running again.
