Reset MySQL Server Password on Windows 7 64bit

Hi all:
I lost the root password of MySQL 5.1, I've read all the articles about the reset of the password, I am trying all methods but no way. So strange I am follow the steps exactly

Hi!

This is not an error message. Just a warning saying that the default-character-set is depricated and is reported because it is used in the my.ini file.

If you have followed the manual
http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.1/en/resetting-permissions.html
then you should be able to restart the mysql server and be able to connect to the database using the new root password.

Make sure you execute the commands in an Administrative cmd console.
