Accumulating Group Footer count

I have a 2 Groups, Group1 is all cardnumbers then Group 2 is dates with all transactions in the data field - I run a formula in GF to check if the count of data transaction is 2 (Always a entry and a exit and the last transaction is a exit) - if there is only one transaction count and it is a entry show a '1'

I'm trying to calculate all the 1's (all users that is 'IN' ) - I tried  running total but it seems to calculate each transaction rather than just the ones.

Any ideas please ?

Do you mean for when the group total is 1?

Try this
Add a formula to the report header
WhilePrintingrecords;
Global NumberVar CountStillIn;
""

In the group footer for the dates (assume that is where you are showing the 1
WhilePrintingrecords;
Global NumberVar CountStillIn;
If ({YourField} = 2) then
    CountStillIn := CountStillIn + 1;
""

At the end of the report
WhilePrintingrecords;
Global NumberVar CountStillIn;
CountStillIn

Actually I want to count if the last transaction  is still in, sometimes users have multiple in / out transactions - I was thinking a if statement which gives a 1 in the footer if the last transaction is in , then count just all the 1's in the footers.
