windows vista pro 32 bit. Just restored the os, and says it is legal when I look it up.
this error message keeps coming up. An unauthorized change was made to Windows. Error 0x004D401.
in pervious problems I finally disabled the control panel and did not get updates. everything worked fine before this.

Sorry for the delay.
Went to the url and that worked, when I went to enter the code given, it said url cannot be found. But since then we have had no problem. I don't think that is supposed to work that way, or am I wrong.
Thanks
George
If that works out that is all I had to do.
