Is there a way to track a users interaction with software.  A log of where the user clicks in a timeline.  So when a bug is found I can retrace the steps and communicate it to a developer.

The only way for this is to use any functional automation tools like QTP, Selenium, Test Complete, etc. Use the record and playback option and by adding check points for each action.
