Cannot RDP from Windows 7 Pro Lenovo Thinkpad Laptop to Windows 7 Pro Dell Desktop in domain.
I cannot RDP from a domain Windows 7 Pro Lenovo Thinkpad Laptop to a domain Windows 7 Pro Dell Desktop which has RDP enabled on it.
But I can RDP from another domain PC to it.
Here is the error:
An authentication error has occurred. The requested security package does not exist. Remote computer

Start>Right-Click Computer, Properties. Select Remote Desktop Settings on left side then you can see the options that Nedramsay is speaking of.
If they are greyed out then there is a GPO that has been configured for RDP. If that is the case then perhaps the TCP/IP settings are off somehow on that laptop since all other machines on the Domain can connect to it.
Start>Type CMD, type ipconfig /flushdns, hit enter.
type ipconfig /registerdns
See if that works for you.

To nedramsay: It's already set to "Less Secure"
To TechOps07: There is no GPO. Tried flushdns. Did not work.
