What course of action or actions a dba should take when the Goldengate replication process stops due to some error, where as all the other processes on the source are still running?

Should I stop the extract process  or keep adding the trail files and increase the size ?

Hi,
Better to keep extract running. But you can also stop it if you keep the archivelog logs.
Regards,
Franck.
