Hello,
I have googled and searched the Internet options settings, but have not found an answer.
On the image below, we see what could be tabs on IE.  I am thinking that they might be "pinned tabs" like Chrome is able to set with "pin to tab."  On IE I have not seen how this might be done.
So this is my question; If they are tabs, then how can they be set in IE?
Possible IE tabs set

These are actually bookmarks, and the bar which they're displayed on is the "favourites" bar. You can show or hide this bar by right-clicking on it (or above where it would be if it's not displayed) and ticking "favourites bar".
See here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows-vista/show-or-hide-the-favorites-bar-in-internet-explorer-8
And to add/remove items from this bar, see instructions here:
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/internet-explorer/add-view-organize-favorites#ie=ie-10
And put the favourite in the "Favourites Toolbar" folder.

Bluecompute, thanks, and gee, on the image I displayed there are so many that to me, they looked like tabs the way chrome shows them.
