how to copy an sql backup file from backup exec without using restore

I'm trying to copy an SQL backup file from tape using backup exec, the problem is i do not want to restore the SQL file  i want to be able to copy the file to another location (external hdd) for testing in a different environment.

if i try to restore to the external hdd it fails.

Any ideas?

Hi,

This operation should be easy to do, any clue (read in the BE logs) why it fails?
Sure BE will trhow an error and a number.
