Getting an Autocad plugin program rewriiten
A customer of mine uses a piece of software that adds some additional features to Autocad.
The program is called FatCad. The company that wrote it have long gone but the MD had the program written specifically for him.
The problem is that it will only run on Autocad 2000 which in turn will not run on anything newer than XP.
I want to move them onto Windows 7. I have tried using the XP mode feature but its just too slow and confusing for the user.
Really I need to get FatCad rewritten for the latest version of Autocad.
How would I go about getting someone to do this for me. Do I need to developer? I just done know where to even begin.
Get anyone advice please?

Have you tried to run this in a virtual environment? I would see if you can find a developer if you have code for this program because the newest version of Autocad are hard to deal with with old programs

Yes we have tried virtual XP. We dont have the code, just the CD with setup files etc.
