I made a (seemingly smooth!) transition from Office 2007 to Office 2013. Outlook 2013 displays 3 lines per message in its Inbox folder. I want more compact view. Please tell me how (click-by-click instructionb wanted) I can get it?

In Outlook 2013 go to the View Tab and click on Message Preview.  Set it to Zero and you see one line as in earlier versions. I do this in my own Outlook 2013.

@midfde - Thanks. Yes, I should have said Off.  They show Off, 1, 2, 3 and I clicked on the top one to give me one line like prior versions.  I was happy to help you with Outlook.
