How do I make Gtalk work?

It says I need ios 6; then dies.

This Google stuff is CRAZY hard to work with

Google has recently announced that it has removed chat from the mobile web pages and that you need to use the native Talk client from your phone instead.  That is why wár17 § is telling you to use another client.  There is no other solution.
