Hi,

I am getting Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot fulfill the messaging request. Please run Microsoft Outlook and set it as the default mail client. When my Windows 7 Pro 64bit machine opens. I am running Office 2010.

I have:

I am running Internet Explorer 10 so when you go to set defaults, it sends you to Windows Default programs.

I have repaired Outlook 2010, Even rebuilt the machine and did a completely fresh install of Windows 7. The machine is pretty much a Vanilla build Windows 7 with Office 2010 Pro and it still does it.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks for the video, I was really hopeful that would work but it didn't

I setup Choose a default e-mail program:
Microsoft Outlook, pressed OK. I get this bar saying setting default Outlook

Then I go back into SPAD and it has changed back to Use my current e-mail program and I am still getting the message which I have also attached.

are you having problems with mailto: links primarily?  Any other mail clients on the machine? Any mail services running?

Hi,

I get the error as soon as my computer starts or if I open Outlook.

If I click a mailto link, it opens outlook as it should.

I worked it out.

Office 2010 64bit running 32bit addins. In my case HP TRIM.

Uninstalled Office 2010 64 and installed 32 and all is good.
