Hi I am new to the web development and my clients are asking for development in PHP Joomla Drupal. THey are also talking about CakePHP.

Can someone tell me how these different development tools relate to each other or how they are different?
Does PHP work with Joomla and Drupal. Or are these 3 are separate languages development tools. How does CakePHP, Code Igniter figure into development?

Joomla and Drupal are content management systems written in PHP.  CakePHP and CodeIgniter are PHP frameworks.

Each of the software packages you mention has its own online documentation.  A Google search for the names will turn up links to their sites where you can learn more about them.
