My hard drive failed so now I'm restoring my system. &nbsp;I'm using IIS (version 7.5.7600.16385) on Windows 7 to host a local site (localhost) for testing. &nbsp;It was a stable working website before the crash using SQL, classic ASP and MS Access. Now it fails when trying to query the database, the exception stating &quot;Provider cannot be found. It may not be properly installed&quot;.<br />

The MDAC 2.8 was downloaded from <a href="http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5793" rel="ugc">Microsoft MDAC download</a> and extracted. &nbsp;IIS_IUSRS and IUSR were given full permission in the directory containing the database..<br />

Why is this not working?

Access/MDAC error? Provider cannot be found
