Asset Tracking

I am looking for a program that will let me track computers, laptop, software, assign it to users like a check in check out system, warranty tracking would be a nice touch. Also a check in/out history.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Thanks for the answers so far,

I would prefer something that does not have a client server relation. Just something that I can input myself.

Create a reliable backup. Make sure you always have dependable copies of your data so you can restore your entire system or individual files.

In that case, i would open up a excel file or create one MS Access DB, with my required field and enter the data. Or just create a software in VB with some back-end db like SQL or Access if you have.
