Trying to implement a jquery dropdown menu that I really like but it is causing a problem with a jquery countdown timer that I also really like.  Any help would be much appreciated.

Go to www.etraxc.com and select H51Athletics from the "Quick Access" dropdown.  This will take you to the page without the new menu.  Note that the countdown timer is working.  However if you change "welcome.asp" to "welcome2.asp" you will see the new menu but you will notice that the countdown timer stopped working.

Thanks in advance.

On your welcome2 page you are loading 2 version of jQuery - you should only load 1. Towards the start of your page you are loading jQuery 1.8.3 from the Google CDN and later on you are loading jQuery 1.10.1 from your drop_menu folder.
