Hi,

I have a hp dl380 g5 with no drives, I bought a couple of seagate SAS drives and put them in, it went through the scanning and it didnt find any physical drives, I am wondering is it an issue with the drives or the controller?

They go green at the start and then just stay amber

Are you sure no physical drives were detected? The controller will say "no logical drives" connected even if there are physical drives connected until there's an array and logical drive configured which you can do by pressing F8 after the P400 initializes although it should auto-configure them if it's just a couple of disks.

If you boot SmartStart CD and go to diagnostics and then ACU you can get a diagnostic report which may have more info, it's downloadable from here
