There is no definite answer for this question as this differs from environment to environment based on the level of service pack needed, what additional software is required as per the SOE (Standard Operating Environment) of every organization. As disks are thin provisioned, typically this would be between 45-60 GB in size.

Let see what other experts have in their environment.

I would have a Fully patched Windows 7 x64 with Office 2010 installed and patched . Also Adobe reader , java , and flash player
