Always use the same name for a redirected printer in RDS2008 R2

Hi everybody,

I connect to a RDS W2008R2 server. Thanks to EasyPrint, my printers appear with the "redirection of xxx" name. The "xxx" is never the same.

I have a macro in Word 2010 that specifies the name of a printer to print some pages on the 1st tray and other pages on the 2nd tray.

I need that the default printer of all the RDS users always mount with the same name.

How can I do ?

Nico

Since you are using a third party app to re-direct RDS printers, you should contact EasyPrint and ask their support if it is an available configuration option.

Easyprint is the MS implementation for the redirections, i dont use 3rd party tools.

I am sorry Easy Print and Easyprint are actually different things.  In this case I WOULD recommend a third party solution.  They are reasonably inexpensive.

Either TSPrint from terminalworks.com or Net2Print from Netr2Printer.com.  Net2Printer is more expensive if you have a lot of users.

The Easy Print supplied with RDS2008 R2  has no option to adjust the printer name, it has very few options.
