I have successfully published Adobe flash, reader and acrobat from the Software update point to SCCM 2007 (configmgr) and when I try to deploy the software to a collection I created, it comes back with an error that the server name or address could not be resolved.  When I published these updates from the SCUP server, I only did metadata as that is what the build guide I was using instructed me to do.  Does this have anything to do with the error or is there something else that is causing this?  I am have 2 separate servers, one serves as the software update point (SCUP) and the other one is running SCCM 2007 R3.   Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've attached the summary from the deployment.

Thanks,
Larry

Hi

SCUP is quite intricate to setup. Have you created certificate and created GPOs to allow it?

Also you need to configure clients with a WSUS GPO to find the updates:
Navigate to  Computer Configuration, Administrative Templates, Windows Components, Windows Update
Right click Allow signed content from intranet Microsoft update service location and select Properties.
Select Enabled, click OK

My guess is that is missing.

For a complete guide get this PDF: http://blog.coretech.dk/kea/the-complete-scup-2011-installation-and-configuration-guide/
