Fit text in input textfield

I am creating an input textfield. I want to let the user type as much as they want (reasonable) and all fits in the textfield box. So I think changing the font size as the user types in is the solution (please let me know if you have a better solution).

How to do it?

And again, it's not a perfect solution, but just something to get you thinking. I've found that programmers get their best insights / do their best learning when they crunch the details for themselves after getting pointers (rather than complete solutions) from someone else.
