Hi fellow experts,
I have a brand new Samsung Series 3 notebook (NP350E7C), on which I installed Windows 7. Yesterday the Samsung software update tool recommended a BIOS update which I installed. The system is now running P08ABE BIOS - and won't start Windows 7 anymore. I have turned off secure boot again and switched back to CSM OS - no change. When I press F10 during the system's startup and select the harddisk from the boot menu, everything is fine, Windows 7 starts as usual. But when I just let the system start without user intervention, I just get a blank black screen, no cursor, nothing. (And, yes, the harddisk is, of course, top in the boot priority list.)
Samsung now wants me to send in the notebook for a BIOS downgrade, but I'd like to save the hazzle and time for this. I just need to locate the right BIOS file and then install it, as described here
, but I can't find the BIOS for my system.
Can anyone a) tell me how to get Windows 7 to start using the current (new) BIOS or b) how to find the right BIOS ROM file for my notebook?
Thanks a lot!
