SIP Software with Outlook Integration

Hi,

I was using Broadworks Assistant in Outlook, where I can click a number and my phone will ring, then I pick it up and it will dial that number I clicked on.

Since Broadworks Assistant is NOT compatible with Outlook 2013, are there any other software pieces that will do the same thing.

I want it to ring my phone and NOT use my computer as a phone like Counterpath's Bria!

Thanks!

Hello?
This is going to depend on your service provider. The Broadsoft platform is pretty good about keeping up to date but not all providers are. I'm assuming (and it's purely a guess) that you've got a Hosted VoIP service which is why you're using the BroadWorks Assistant, if that's the case the software is configured to connect to your service provider's switch so you'll need to find something that's compatible with the setup that your service provider has.

There is a Release 18 version of Assistant that works with Outlook 2013 but requires the provider's switch to be on (if I recall correctly) Release 18 or 19 as well.

Check with your service provider's support team to see if/when they'll make it available.
Is that costly for my provider?
