Hello there,

XenDesktop 5 Logon Process and Communication Flow as per the following KB article.

http://support.citrix.com/article/CTX128909

I would like to know during which step will there more network traffic, as we may have upt o 150 users accessing the XenDesktop each day. Is it more between Desktop delivery controller and SQL?

Please advise.

Thanks and Regards.

As per my understanding, you are asking about where will we find more network traffic in Xendesktop Logon Process and Communication Flow

You can find more network traffic between Desktop Delivery Controllers and hypervisor.
DDC quiries hypervisor when it requires to start a new session or to shutdown a existing session or to connect to a disconnected session.
It always checks the Hypervisor to update the VMs status.

How about network traffic between DDC and SQL? Will it be high as well, as we will be implementing dedicated static xendesktop, meaning each user will be getting the same desktop each time he logs in, and all the info gets stored in XD DB? Is this correct.

Yes.  Network traffic between DDC and Datastore(SQL) is high. But, Compared with  network traffic between DDC and Hypervisor, The Network Traffic between DDC and Datastore is less.
