Hi guys and girls .

I need to migrate my outlook 2010 mails to my new office 365.

I found a lot of guides on this issue but its not working yet.

in my outlook I have setup my email account with server adress for Ms online server off365 and it is working well in Imap and pop3.
I was using this guide to import my .pst file again in outlook but the mails dont synch to office 365 .
However I get all new mails in inbox both places so my office 365 is working as it should.

Another guide says I can migrate .pst to office 365 but I dont have that option and I guess its cause Im using the plan1 ?

From within outlook connect to your exchange account (office 365), then do a file import (select .pst file) and then select your .pst file).. You may want to do this at lunchtime as it will take a while.

Hi Ve3ofa and thanks - I have allready done that solution but its not synchronizing my emails to office 365 - so its not working yet

As I described my outlook 2010 is allready connected to using pop3 and imap .
Imap is partly working as it seams like it has moved some mails from inbox - looks like only emails that are unread.

I like to import the .pst file into office 365 - but it seams not possible ?

Now I try to make my Imap synchronize all emails testing different solutions - still no usable result.

I will try different settungs in Imap and security settings for mailbox . TLS / SSL etc - but I guess its nt the main issue.

I have tried a lot of troubleshooting and as I see the main problem is that I need to connect my outlook as exchange account
So I need a different solution with exchange to synk everything ?

With this solution Imap to off365 only inbox is in synk . The rest of important items are not in synk. Office 365 is only a light version and no exchange connection in the small solutions.
So its only synking in Imap and only inbox with off 365 p1/p2 ?

Calendar is not
Contacts is not
Sendbox is not

So I need to setup a solution for exchange online too cause this is only discount solution and I know it will never work well .

when you add the account and enter your username and password it should automatically select the exchange method

well it depends on which office 365 plan you choose - I only see its possible to connect in pop3 or Imap using plan 2 (Small business ) so I need a different plan that supports exchange .
But Im off now and want to rest cause I have been working hard to make this solution work

It would be nice if Microsoft have described from the start if I was able to use exchange connection so I dont have to wait and see how it works..

But at least now I know all details of what each plan can do and cannot do, just a stupid way to find out making the whole setup .

But anyway maybe its described somewhere if I look all documentation through and it will take 3 days -. so its almost easier to make the solution than reading all their awfull technet description and when you start up you allways find its different in practice than proimised :)
