I have a user that uses an ipad and iphone and cannot receive or send email on them. they ae configured using activesync on our 2007 exchange.

I'm configured using the same setup on my driod and it's working fine for me.

He is enabled for active sysnc and we tried recreating the account on the iphone and still nothing.

Have you rebooted phone etc.

Usually I would say to check IIS settings but if yours is ok then thats odd.

Can he male calls etc? Is he using wireless or 3G?

Have you looked at:

He can make calls. I asking for him to try turning off wireless if it's being used.

Also, do you now where and how I can look at any logs for active sysnc. I googling it, but it's not hat easy to find the logs.

Nothing ever in the clear!

This technical paper will help you implement VMware’s VM encryption as well as implement Veeam encryption which together will achieve the nothing ever in the clear goal. If a bad guy steals VMs, backups or traffic they get nothing.

turning of wireless may help. Usually an issue using wireless if in the office and connectiong, sounds weird but have seen it before

Check in AD for that user,

Check exchange features and make sure he is enabled for mobile outlook access etc.

Check he is in correct AD groups as per your set up too.

Maybe need to remove account on phone. Reboot phone. Re-set up account and ensure settings match your phone as you go.

Check he has a data plan for his mobile contract.

Check ISS. I always use this giude to check things:
