How can I create Delphi XE2 VCL forms that don't look hideous on the Win8 desktop?
I'd like my forms to look the same across Windows' versions. And across XP, Vista and W7 classic themes, they do. The Windows 8 desktop allows many 'theme' choices, most are hideous - and there appears to be no theme that allows my forms to even come close to appearing as they do under the 3 previous versions.
I'm not a graphics designer so every attempt to improve "Color Appearance" settings is futile and makes matters worse. Is there no "escape" to an XP/Vista/W7 standard classic color scheme?
Will Windows 8.1 fix this?
TIA, Ed

Perhaps gamers love aero, I don't nor do any of my business customers. Until Win 8, I felt I was in control, but now I have NO control. Under no circumstance has anyone ever said that an "aero" form is conducive to business efficiency. If Microsoft insists on hiring kids who have zero business sense, they'll continue to lose market share to imaginary demons.
I want function, not "pretty".
Thanks but your suggestion had no useful information.
