Shut Down USB on Windows 8
I have a windows 2008 domain with windows 8 clients. Is there a way to globally disable USB ports from accepting any type of mass storage device?

Hi,
Regarding GP Edits in Windows 8 for Blocking USB Drive Access:
Get the WindowsServer2012andWindow s8GroupPol icySetting s.xlsx and use the Find & Select Tool in Excel (Tool Bar at top-right Binoculars) and search for the term USB.
There are many settings, Row 197 = Prevent Installation of Removable Devices and Row 198 = Prevent installation of devices not described by other policy settings would work.
You'll find many other setting in the Administrative Template Tab on the bottom of the Excel Page by searching for USB in the Excel file.
