Funky VoIP Issue - Cisco SPA5xx Display Freezing

I've been running VoIP with Cisco SPA500 series phones for over two years. Here's the issue I'm having now:

The phone display is freezing roughly once an hour, followed up with the phone automatically rebooting about 30 minutes after the display freeze.

Now, here's some background into my environment:

I run FreePBX 3.211 / Asterisk 1.8 x64. Everything works great, until I decide to upgrade the Cisco SPA5XX firmware past version 7.4.8. No matter the model (I use SPA504G, SPA508G, and SPA514G currently), any firmware version past 7.4.8 will cause this display freeze issue. Unfortunately for me, I was fine keeping the phones at the older firmware, but it's now critical to get them upgraded.

Thank you!

I would check the registration expiration settings.  Normally, those are set to a hour.  Perhaps the phone freaks out when it tries to re-register.  Bump that setting up to 2 hours and see what happens.  This should be a setting on your FreePBX.
